A two-stage statutory grievance procedure (www.practicallaw.com/1-200-3336) under the Employment Act 2002, which involved:
The employee's written grievance.
The employer's written response.
It may have been used instead of the standard grievance procedure (www.practicallaw.com/8-200-3494) where the employee has left employment and has agreed in writing with the former employer to use the modified GP in respect of the grievance.
The Employment Act 2008 repealed the procedures with effect from 6 April 2009 (subject to transitional provisions). For more information on the procedures, see Practice note, Statutory grievance procedures (www.practicallaw.com/8-200-4243).
