An old style development plan (www.practicallaw.com/8-203-2712) setting out strategic planning policies forming the basis for local plans (www.practicallaw.com/0-203-2725). These plans will continue to exist for a while after the introduction of the new development system under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 due to the transitional provisions provided for in the Act.
